MotoGP: Jorge Lorenzo wins 2016 in France

Yamaha’s reigning world champion grinds out a big victory at the 2016 Grand Prix of France.

In this clip, Rossi shows two brilliant overtaking manoeuvres and then both the Honda and Ducati machines crash out simultaneously! Great stuff!

FROM the moments the lights went out at Le Mans the question was not about who would win, but who would finish second to Jorge Lorenzo.

Yamaha’s reigning world champion put on another one of his lights-to-flag demonstration runs, grinding his rivals under the heel of his Alpine Stars boot until they submitted.

Behind him was carnage. A litany of crashes littered the leaderboard such that only 12 bikes made it home unscathed.

IN SYNC: Marquez and Dovizioso explain their perfectly-timed tandem crash

Marc Marquez was not among that dozen. His championship lead slipped away with the front wheel of his Honda, he and Andrea Dovizioso having two separate yet synchronised crashes into the Museum corner with 13 laps to go.

Marquez remounted his battered machine and carried it home in 13th and last, but snaring three vital points.
